Macromedia Flash is promoted as a powerfull "do-it-all" component, but in reality, Flash is bandwidth-intensive

coding, but keep the content. Within a short time, we had removed all Flash elements from the page and replaced them
with standard javascript equivalents. We then presented the client with a site that looked and behaved exactly the
same as before, yet loaded in one-fifth of the time.
